Show Polo team drowns competition With wins over Cottonwood and Highland last week, the Pleasant Grove High School water polo team brought their record to 9 wins and one loss. PG beat Cottonwood 19-6. Just about everyone on the team scored a goal in this game. They then played Highland a couple of days later. This was a closer game and the Vikings had to play a bit tougher for this win. The ending score was 7 to 5. Adam Rupper was the leading scorer for the Vikings. He had three goals. Kelley Kortman had two, along with Bruce Christy. Captain Brad Allen had 13 saves in the game. P.G. only h two more regular season games, Doth of them should prove to be tough. They will be playing last year's state champions, Murray High School, and last year's third place team, Skyline. The state tournament will begin next week with the western regionals in Tucson, Ariz, the following weekend. |
