Show Water polo team prepares for Tucson tournament Pleasant Grove drenched American Fork with a 13-8 upset in the first round of the State Water Polo Tournament held at Skyline High School last week. Coach Kevin Dickerson and the team came ready to redeem i themselves after losing 8-6 to the Cavemen in their last confrontation. Adam Rupper led the way with 5 goals, followed by Derrick Dickerson with 4, Brandon Taylor had 2 and Kelley Kortman t.nd Ron Mayo scored one each for the Vikings. Goalie Vallen Blackburn had 10 saves in the game and Brad Allen had five. PG went into the second round of . play without Dickerson and Mayo who were both out with injuries. Dickerson pulled a muscle and Mayo fell out of the back of the truck. Rupper and Taylor each scored a goal in the loss to Skyline. Next week the water polo team is traveling to Tucson, Arizona to play in a tournament. i |
