Rock's Records and Tapes add new line of merchandise Rock's Records and Tapes is now an authorized dealer for Vuarnet sunglasses, according to Rock Woodward, owner. Located at 57 East Main in downtown American Fork, the firm also has other items in the Vuarnet line, including tee-shirts, sweat shirts and caps, Woodward says. He is the first in the north Utah County area to carry the popular line. Vuarnet is said to make one of the best sunglasses in the world. Originally designed for the sports professional, the lens protects your eye against 100 percent of all potentially harmful ultra-violet and infra-red radiation. The sunglasses are constructed from lightweight, flexible nylon and have built in memory and durability. Manufacturers say a person who is wearing the sunglasses can actually ac-tually see better than with the naked eye. They have four lenses - the Skilynx for skiers and others who spend a lot of time in bright light and highly reflexed white light; and the Nautilux made specially for sailors and surfers or anyone who spends time on or near the water. The PX 2000 lens is a general purpose lends for driving or sunbathing; sun-bathing; and the PX 5000 lens, an exceptionally dark lens, is especially for mountain climbers or others who spend time at higher elevations where the sun is very bright, or those whose eyes are light sensitive. "I liked the eyeglasses myself and had a hard time finding them so decided to become a distributor for them and make them available in the area," Rock says. He plans to have more in the Vuarnet sportswear line as spring and summer come. |
