' Pleasant Grove High School's Girl's Varsity Volleyball team beat Payson this past week, 16-14 and 15-1. 15-1. P.G.'s team could do no wrong, aceing their serves, making some great saves, and hitting some great spikes. Jayleen Walker made five straight serves in the first game, starting the game out right. Erin Measom and Kristine Larsen then made 4 points each, winning the first game. The girls really played great volleyball, with the home crowd cheering. In the second game, Payson just quit, not seeming to be able to do anything right, including their serving. Pleasant Grove can be proud of their win, as they played together, anticipating one another's moves. Jayleen Walker again started the second game out with three unanswered serves, then Rhonda Simmons served five in a row. Erin Measom then served seven in a row. Varsity will play at home this Wednesday at approximately 5:30 p.m., just following the Junior Varisty games. The admission is free, and the community is invited to come and watch the girls play a grudge match against Timpview, who beat them earlier this year.
