Show PTA Council honors Lindon's new teachers ."--;.'. . f V -ft ' 1 . . - i I ' I ri I t If- i i i by KALYN SECRETAN New teachers at the Lindon Elementary School were introduced by Principal Eugene Maag to the Pleasant Grove Council where they were each given a corsage and a certificate. All the teachers had one thing in common, they love to travel and have traveled extensively. They have much to offer their students. The new teachers include Shauna Butler, Karen Sultan, Tina Car-nahan Car-nahan and Carolyn McCartney. Shauna Butler is a science specialist and graduate of BYU. She is married to John Butler and they are the parents of two girls. An identical twin she traveled a lot with her family, in fact they visited every state except Alaska. She has a desire to be successful in whatever she does. Carolyn McCarney comes from a long line of educators. Her great grandmother was a teacher as well as her mother, three aunts and a brother. She grew up in Idaho, attending the Aberdeen High School with further education at Ricks College and BYU. She is married to David McCartney Mc-Cartney and they have one son. Church History tour which was fantastic. She hopes to raise a successful happy family like the one. she was raised in. Tina Carnahan was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She received her education at Ricks College and BYU. She is married and expecting her first baby in the near future. She has traveled from coast to coast in the United States and also in South America from Mexico to Peru where she served an LDS ' Welfare Mission. Her greatest desire would be to travel all around the world. Karen Sutton was born in Illinois and attended school in Omaha, Nebraska. A graduate of BYU, she is single and was known to climb over the BYU stadium and enjoy a picnic in the middle of the football stadium. She has a desire to be a world traveler and has traveled in Germany Ger-many and Switzerland. |
