Everyone is alternately holding their breath and sighing with relief. Anxious faces look out over the audience. Mothers, fathers and teachers wring their hands and pray, lips parting. It's the annual Spelling Bee season and the scene is replayed in almost every school in the state. A child stands before the microphone and repeats one of the hundreds of words he or she has studied every waking moment for the past weeks. Judges seated at the tables in front of the podium are tense, too. A couple of tape-recorde- take down every word and letter just to avoid any accidental mishaps. The crowd of spellers who began are mostly seated back in the audience by now as just a handful take turns at the podium. "Agog." He spells. It's right! Everyone is momentarily relaxed. Then the next word is given. "Mislabled." The child makes a mistake. Everyone is sympathetic as she slouches to her seat. Greenwood's winner, Becky Tran, spelled antilever correctly classmates and fellow Loan Do spell, respell and eventually drop a letter. She was ecstatic, relieved and overcome. There were tears in the eyes. It's exciting, stupendous, heart-breaking and grueling. Being the next to the last one up is a tense experience as Becky Tran looks to her competition for sympathy and support. hello world Babies born in Am. Previously" located in the Slorehouse Market parking lot at 205 E. 400 South, Reynolds is. now Y accepting aluminum and v newspapers at its new location at 658 N. State Street, in the Electrical Wholesale Supply parking lot. The move is effective im-- 1 mediately. "Reynolds always welcomes the opportunity to serve the people of Orem," said Al Remington, Salt Lake City plant manager. "We hope moving to a new location will provide better service and more convenience for our customers." Recycling is a good way for both individuals and groups to earn extra cash, Remington continued. "At the same time, it keeps our city clean and free from litter. It's one way to benefit both your wallet and the environment around you." The Orem recycling location will continue to be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m! and from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Reynolds is currently paying 22' per pound for aluminum cans and 1 per pound for newspaper at its Orem location.
