Alpine School District, Utah County, State of Utah, on Tuesday, held in at wnjch special election there shall be submitted to the May registered electors residing within Alpine School District, q u rmintv Utah, the following proposition, to-wit: Utah Own1- PROPOSITION .. electors of Alpine School District authorize the Board of ! i ation of Alpine School District to maintain a State-Supported Voted av Program by levying annually a tax of not to exceed THREE (3) if over and above all presently existing-authorizations to accomplish J following objectives: ' Increase the supply of textbooks, i "increase classroom supplies. "provide more specialists in elementary schools in such areas as science foreign language, music, art, computer instruction, and nhvsical education. Provide more instructional aides when class sizes reach, a level h'ch interferes with instruction, discipline and supervision. provj(e funds to maintain and replace new equipment such as "'"increase building maintenance, especially reroofing, floor coverings, ceiling tile, painting and playground and parking lot resurfacing. CYes Cjnder the State-Supported Voted Leeway Program, if the proposition is approved by a majority of the electors of Alpine School District voting at the special election, the State of Utah will contribute, under current law to Alpine School District an amount sufficient to guarantee $17 per weighted pupil unit per mill for the first two (2) mills over and above all presently existing authorizations. Orem 11, 13, 21, 27, 54, Lakeview 20 Cherry Hill Elementary 250 E. 1650 S., Orem The voting at the special election shall be by ballot, which shall be furnished by the Clerk of the Board of Education of the Alpine School District to the judges of the election, to be furnished by those judges to to qualified voters. The polls at each polling place shall be opened at the hour of 7:00 "'dock a.m. and will be kept open until they are closed at the hour of fcWo'clockp.m. . i There is to be no special registration of voters for the special election and the official register of the voters last made or revised for voters eligible to vote in this election shall constitute the register for this Wal election, except that the County Clerk of Utah County will agister at his office during the regular office hours, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and excepting a ten (10) day period immediately preceding the special election, all persons who present themselves for fegistration who, on the special election day, will be legally qualified and entitled to vote in any election district in the Alpine School District, according to the provisions of the law under which such special election may be held. The County Clerk will make available or will cause the Oration agents to make available at each of the above described g places a registration list or copy thereof listing all registered eltors entitled to use such polling place. Absentee ballots may be obtained by any person otherwise eligible to . eat lne special election but who, on the day of election, expects to be ' ernporarily absent from the Alpine School District area or disabled, by g application in the manner and time provided by law, either in nor by mail, afthe office of the Clerk of the Board of Education of Sh001 District at 50 Nortn Center Street, American Fork, Utah Notice is further given that on May 14, 1985, that being a day not later Al len days after this special election, the Board of Education of Pne ?fnol District will meet at its regular meeting place in rttur " Frk' Ulah County- utan at 6:00 o'clock p.m. and canvass the "Band declare the official results of the special election.
