Show Utah horseshoe pitching assn. to hold tourney in Am. Fork The Utah Horseshoe Pitching Association will hold it's northern Utah championships for both A- and B-class pitchers over the next two weekends at American Fork's Robinson Park. The best horseshoe pitchers in the state will be competing, with B-class finals held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30 and 31, starting at 7 p.m. A-class competition will be the following weekend, Sept. 6 and 7, and will also begin at 7 p.m. The northern state finals will involve the 12 top pitchers in each of the classes. Local horseshoe pitchers claim the American Fork horseshoe pitching pit-ching courts features some of the best clay in the area. The courts were originally built in 1946, and have been upgraded with lights. Bleachers will be brought in for the North Utah finals. |
