Show Police arrest three men following several burglaries Pleasant Grove Police have arrested three males following the report of 11 auto burglaries and two residential burglaries in the city last week. The arrests apparently cleared burglary cases in Yellowstone National Park and Salt Lake City, as well. Lt. Tom Paul said that in the early morning of Aug. 21, the department impounded a van in the area of Blackhawk and Nathaniel Drive following reports of prowlers and the strange van parked on the street. The burglars then stole a truck belonging to Jim Green on 1300 East, the officer said. The truck was later recovered. Eleven property owners reported that items had been taken from their vehicles. In most cases these were found stacked on the curb at various locations where the burglars apparently ap-parently intended to pick them up. All of the men arrested are from the Salt Lake area and include one juvenile and two adults. Lt. Paul said he expects another three persons per-sons to be arrested in connection with the burglaries. The arrests were made in Salt Lake City with the cooperation of Salt Lake City police officers. Recovered were CB radios, VCR's, cameras, one gun, some ghettoblaster-type stereos, Walkman Walk-man stereos, cassette tapes, and short wave radio equipment. |
