Show Fast pitch clinic held in PL Grove The annual fast-pitch pitching clinic which has been held at the Pleasant Grove High School gym the past ten years will be moved and will be held at the Pleasant Grove softball diamonds adjacent to the rodeo grounds. The clinic is sponsored by the Pleasant Grove Recreation Department, with Coca Cola co-sponsoring co-sponsoring the event as a means to encourage the participation and development of fast-pitch pitchers. Coca Cola will give away 50 new softballs to the first 50 paid registrants. Kay Thayne, clinic director, has indicated instruction will be available to both males and females of all ages, in the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of instruction. Kay has also indicated that guest instructors from the local area and the Salt Lake area will be helping to instruct those that attend. A registration fee of $5 will be charged for the three day clinic. It will be held from 10 to 12 in the mornings at Shannon field (near the rodeo grounds on State street). It will be held on three subsequent - Saturdays, April 14, 21 and the 28. Questions may be answered by calling the Pleasant Grove City Recreation Department between 3 and 5 p.m. Registration for the instructional clinic may be made at the Pleasant Grove Recreation office and at the ball park the day of the clinic. |
