Narramore Impressive funeral services were held for Ashley Nelson on Oct. 8. Helen Newman played the prelude and postlude music and the family prayer was given by Dale Jensen. Bishop Guy Cash conducted the service and the invocation was offered by Phillip Black. Pam Christiansen, a granddaughter, sang a vocal solo, "Somewhere My Love." She was accompanied by a niece, Madge Black. Speakers were Dr. Brent Johnson, Stan Lewis and Bert Beck. Phyllis Gregerson gave the biographical sketch. A musical number was furnished by LaVar Carlson and Bonnie Jean Durall. They sang "Red River Valley." The Sixth Ward mens chorus sange "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." Members of the chorus were Sherwin Allred, Ralph Anderson, Dan Clark, Bob Webb and Tom Hollingsworth. Royal Jensen spoke the benediction and the dedicatory prayer was given by Tom Myrup. Robert Ether Cun-ningham, 73, died Wed., Oct. 19, 1983. He was born April 27, 1906 in American Fork, to Alexander and Mary Jane McBride Cun-ningham. He married Hjordis Calsime March 17, 1939 in Portland, Ore. He was a brick mason contractor. He worked during his early life in shipyards and was a surveyor for the U.S. Geological Survey in California. He is survived by his wife of American Fork, one son and two daughters, Mrs. Roberta Page, In-dianapolis, Ind.; Allan Cunningham, Sloningl-on-, Conn.; Mrs. Karen Fullmer, Brigham City; 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one brother, Mack Cunningham, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Luella Carter, Provo; Mrs. Stella Kelley, Orem; Mrs. Moselie Davis and Mrs. Golda Gurney, both of American Fork. Funeral services were held Monday in Andersons and Sons Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Narramore Jan. 30 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 9, 1982. She then came to live with her daughter in Lehi. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Nile (Lou) Sorenson of Ihi; two grandsons; five great - grand - children; sister, Alice Whitaker Sandy, Ut.; brother' Lewis Martin, Evan-ston- , Wyo. Services were Monday in Evanston. Nelson Thank You Ruth Black Martha Ruby Arnold The family of Ashley Nelson would like to express their gratitude to friends, neighbors and family who showed their love and sym-pathy at the death of their loved one, Ashley Nelson. We appreciate all those who took part on the funeral program, the beautiful music and lovely floral tributes. We especially want to thank the Sixth Ward Relief Society for the lovely luncheon that was provided for the family. Again, we thank all those who helped with food, flowers and comforting thoughts; for the Lehi Police who were so special that day and were pallbearers honoring one of their men. It was a beautiful sight and thanks also to the police force who led the procession. We love and thank each of you. Sincerely, the family of Ashley Nelson Virlie Nelson, Charly, Betty Ann Martha Ruby Jensen Arnold, 77, died Wed-nesday, Oct. 19, 1983 in the Bennion Care Center in Salt Lake County. She was born Feb. 28, 1906 in Richfield, to Andrew Peter and Alice Christine Nielsen Jensen. She married Charles LeRoy Arnold Jan. 18, 1928 in Monroe. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She lived most of her married life in Monroe and moved to Lehi 14 sons and two daughters: Charles K. Arnold, Afton, Wyo.; Norris Arnold, St. John; John Arnold, Lehi; Mrs. Max (Charlene) Casperson, Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Darwin (Mayne La dawn) Sorensen, Riverton; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday in the Wing Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the Richfield City Cemetery. RUBY ARNOLD years ago. She worked in the Primary and Young Women's organizations in the LDS Church. She had served as a primary teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher, and secretary of the Young Women's organization. Survivors include her husband of Pleasant Grove; three sons and two daughters: Tom 1 Black, and Mrs. Marvin (Sue) Slater, both of American Fork-Mrs- . Brent (Colleen) McOausland of Ta-com- Wash.; Jim Black of Pleasant Grove; Steve Black of Provo; 17 grand-children one great-grandchild; one brother and one sister Mrs William (Claudia) Pollock of Salt Lake City, and Roy Melville of Big Bear, Calif. Services were Tuesday in the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Frank Mills of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Brent McCausland, Marvin Slater, Jarod McCausland, Daron Black, Brad Slater and Rod Slater. The family prayer was given by Tom Black. A speaker was Christine Kelley and Lora Johnson played an organ solo, "Autumn Leaves". A speaker was Marvin Slater and a song, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine", was sung by Janet Harris. She was accompanied by Enid Bennett Bishop Mills gave remarks and the benediction was by Arlen Nelson. Dedica-tion of the grave was by William Pollock. Helen Deniz Oliver K. Johnson Helen Almira Duke Allred Deniz, 66, died Oct. 22, 1983 in the American Fork Hospi-tal. She was born Feb. 20, 1917 in Bingham Canyon, a daughter of Allen P. and Florence Varley Duke. She married Everett Lance Allred in 1935 and was later divorced. She married Joseph V. Deniz on Sept. 2, 1950, and their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died Sept. 1 , 1982. She was a member of the Lindon 2nd LDS Ward and had been active in Primary and Relief Society in the Las Vegas, Nev. area. She was the former owner of Grandma's Kitchen in American Fork. Surviving are two sons: Phillip Lance Allred of Huntsville, Tex., and Leland Kay Allred of Lindon; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchil- A son, Everett Ray, preceded her in death. Also surviving are brothers, Paul Duke, Gordon Duke, and Don Duke, all of Provo; Lavell Kelly Duke of Farmington; Eugene Duke of Bakersfield, Calif.; Kenneth Duke of San Antonio, Tex.; and sisters, Mrs. Betty Tanner, Lehi; Mrs: Calvin (Carol) Chris-tense- n of Moses Lake, Wash.; and Mrs. Reid (Jennalee) Swapp of Pleasant Grove. Funeral was Wed-nesday at the Lindon 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery under the direction of Anderson and Sons Mortuary, American Fork. Johnson, 89, of Lindon, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 1983 in Murray. He was born July 19, 1914, in Pleasant Grove, to Victor Carl and Enid Harmon Johnson. He married Marie Black Oct. 17, 1935 in the Salt Lake I LDS Temple. He was a High Priest in the Lindon 5th LDS Ward. He had served a stake mission, was presently a Provo LDS Temple worker, served as ward chorister and in several of the auxiliaries. He had served on the Lindon town board and ' the Lindon City j Council. He was a t charter member of the lindon Lions Club. He ( served as chairman of (lie Lindon Fair for weral years. He worked as a self--l' employed truck driver, Survivors include his wife of Lindon; a son t and two daughters, r Marion (Mick) John son, and Mrs. Ramon (Sally) Gray, both of Lindon; Mrs. Alan (Connie) BahrofOrem; 13 grandchildren; four and a brother,. Floyd Johnson of Orem. Services were Monday in the Lindon 5th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Garth Gillman of the Lindon Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Brent Johnson, Chad Bahr, Jerry Daniels, Kent Johnson, Greg Bahr, Terry Johnson, David Kinsey and Reed Frank. Honorary pallbear-ers were fellow Provo Temple workers Fred Hoffman, Reed Frank, Dale Black, Mahlon Smith, Harold Black and Bert Liicas. The family prayer was given by Marion Johnson. The prelude and postlude were played by LaDean Gillman. The invoca-tion was by Joseph Swenson. The life sketch was given by a daughter, Connie Bahr. A medley, "Nearer My God to Thee", "Not Now But In the Coming Years", and "Abide With Me", was sung by Renee Edwards, Audra Hooley, Mary Bishop and Annie Smith accompanied by Donale E. Page. A speaker was Dean Adams and he was followed by an organ medley by LaDean Gillman. Bishop Nyle T. Harris spoke and Pandy Bahr sang a solo accompanied by Vickie Carlson. Remarks were given by Bishop Gillman and a vocal selection, "Families Are Forever" was sung by the grandchildren. The benediction was by Alan Bahr and the dedication of the grave was by Floyd Johnson.
