Because of this a "Crafts Day" has been set for Monday afternoon, af-ternoon, December 18 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. All of the classes have adjusted and or changed their daily schedules so that the students will be working on their projects during this period. Our purpose is to have the parents come to Lindon Elementary during this time and browse through the rooms observing the various students and the craft projects they are working on. Charts will be displayed in each room describing the activities and also directions for the students projects. Parents, as you observe and assess the value of the activities consider the planning, organization and written work involved as well as the aestethic satisfaction that comes from the beautiful finished project. Working with your hands and producing a finished product of beauty and value does a lot toward enhancing a students self esteem. |
