Show Jan Randall is Sales Manager Former Pleasant Grove school teacher Jan Randall has been named Utah state sales manager for Crossroads Gallery Inc. of San Diego, Ca. In an interview Mrs. Randall explained the galleries is a traveling art show and sales concern. "We bring original oil paintings into the mious communities for special shows and sales," she explained. "This makes it possible for people in Pleasant Grove and other communities to purchase oil paintings at inexpensive prices. Mrs. Randall, whose husband, Bob, is a ranger at Timpanogos Oavp mnorted a show currently is being held next to the rodeo grounds in the old J.C. Building. On December 12 an additional Pleasant Grove show will be held at the P.G. City recreation building on Second South. "This will be a benefit show held in cooperation with the high school and the recreation department," depar-tment," she said. The recreation department's depar-tment's share of proceeds from the benefit will be used to purchase additional playground equipment. "The city needs $25,000 more equipment", equip-ment", Mrs. Randall said. The sales manager explained that other shows will be held in Utah County, including one at American Fork, Lehi, Orem, Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville and Payson. "The major show will be held at the Salt Lake Hilton on Decemnber 3", she said adding the community shows are currently being scheduled. Mrs. Randall commented com-mented that paintings range in price from $4 to $1,800 and in size from five inches by seven inches to 30 by 40 inches. "We have landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and character studies," she said. In addition Mrs. Randall is building a local home party system for the paintings pain-tings and people in the community interested in getting involved are encouraged to contact her. "We are really pleased with the quality of the work we get from European and Oriental artists," she said. "Each work is original and the variety is sufficient to fill just about any decorating need a person might have." |
