Lindon Fifth and Sixth Graders Go To Clearcreek Camp for Overnight Clearcreek Camp with its warm cabins and beautiful white snow presents a very inviting setting for Lindon 's fifth and sixth graders. One hundred students and their teachers are spending an overnight field trip at the Alpine School District Outdoor Education Camp, 2 miles South of Scofield. Winter activities and outdoor learning ex-periences highlight the day. Measuring the snow for its water content and estimating our water for next year will give the students a new insight and ap-preciation of winter and the importance of snow. The winter scene as compared with the other seasons of the year presents a new look. Many never really examine the trees and shrubs at this time of year. Interesting ob-servations take place as animal tracks are observed in the snoww. Interesting Patterns and directions and sometimes a challenging picture in the snow offer many puzzles to solve. All in all, the outdoor ex-periences will be an enrichment for all concerned and should enhance the students appreciation for the out of doors. Teachers directing and instructing the trip are Michelle Behuning, Garn LeBaron, Dale Porter and Bruce Wathen. Preparation for the trip and work in class after the trip will make up a large block of school time. There will be many academic experiences stemming from the trip.
