In an interview Mrs. Randall explained the galleries is a traveling art show and sales concern. "We bring original oil paintings into the mious communities for special shows and sales," she explained. "This makes it possible for people in Pleasant Grove and other communities to purchase oil paintings at inexpensive prices. Mrs. Randall, whose husband, Bob, is a ranger at Timpanogos Oavp mnorted a show currently is being held next to the rodeo grounds in the old J.C. Building. On December 12 an additional Pleasant Grove show will be held at the P.G. City recreation building on Second South. "This will be a benefit show held in cooperation with the high school and the recreation depart-ment," she said. The recreation depar-tment's share of proceeds from the benefit will be used to purchase additional playground equipment. "The city needs $25,000 more equip-ment", Mrs. Randall said. The sales manager explained that other shows will be held in Utah County, including one at American Fork, Lehi, Orem, Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville and Payson. "The major show will be held at the Salt Lake Hilton on Decemnber 3", she said adding the community shows are currently being scheduled. Mrs. Randall com-mented that paintings range in price from $4 to $1,800 and in size from five inches by seven inches to 30 by 40 inches. "We have landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and character studies," she said. In addition Mrs. Randall is building a local home party system for the pain-tings and people in the community interested in getting involved are encouraged to contact her. "We are really pleased with the quality of the work we get from European and Oriental artists," she said. "Each work is original and the variety is sufficient to fill just about any decorating need a person might have." Funeral Services Friday For Pauline M. Bird Funeral services for Pauline Millar Bird, 29, of Lindon, who died at her home on Nov. 27, 1978, will be held Friday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Lindon 2ndf a.m. in the Lindon 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Olpin Family Mor-tuary Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Friday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Pauline Millar Bird was born April 28, 1949 in American Fork to Leland Samuel and Bette C. Dunlavy Millar. She married Billy Joe Bird on Aug. 5, 1968. She was a member of the LDS Church, and served as a Camp direc-tor in the MIA. She attended Lindon and Pleasant Grove schools. She attended Utah Technical College in Provo, and was an avid sports fan, en-joying riding, camping, fishing and hunting. She enjoyed stock car racing and owned her own race car. Survivors include her husband and two daughters, Monica Dawn and Brenda Ann; her parents and one sister, Susan Millar White, all of Lindon; a grandmother, Mrs. Clara P. Carter, Tooele. Funeral Services Held For Isabelle B. McCoy (Lorna) Hal, both of Pleasant Grove; An-tho- Henderson, Boun-tiful; Ruby Hrdlicka, Afton, Wyo.; Carl Mc- Coy, Salt Lake City, Arlynn McCoy, Boilingbrook, 111.; 38 grandchildren, 63 great great grandchildren, five great great gran-dchildren; three sisters, Ella Sullivan, LeGrand Ore,; Ida McVicker, Oregon and Fern An-derson, Boise, Ida. Isabelle Bowles McCoy Funeral services for Isabelle Bowles Mc- Coy, 86, who died at the American Fork Hospital on Nov. 24, 1978, were held Mon-day, Nov. 27 in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, under the direc-tion of Bishop Jack Phillips of the Pleasant Grove 3rd Ward. Additional services were also held at Afton, Wyoming on Nov. 28 and interment was also in Afton. Speakers at the ser-vices were Donna Brock and Bishop Jack Phillips also gave remarks. Musical numbers were given by a trio, Sue Hanks, Ruby Fielding, and Marcelle Duncan and a duet by Dayna and Scott MacArthur, both ac-companied by Diane jeJel. Prayers were given by James Hall, Walter Brock and Don Smith . A life sketch was given by Carol Thor-nton. Isabelle Bowles Mc- Coy was born July 13, 1892 in Afton, Wyo., a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Sharp Bowles. She married Guy Henderson on Sept. 12, 1912 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died on Jan. 31, 1920. She married Muri McCoy on May 31, 1925 in Oakley, Wyo. He died Dec. 16, 1952. She was an a:tive member of the LDS Church. She moved to Pleasant Grove in 1965 and for the past two years had lived with her daughter. She is survived by five sons and three daughters, Warren Henderson, Grace, Ida., Dee Henderson, Era-met- t, Ida.; Elda Hen-derson and Mrs. James Funeral Rites Held on Saturday, Harald Smith also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild and two sisters Mrs. LaRue Smith and Mrs. Retta Crease. Funeral Services for Harald Alden Smith, 76, who died Nov. 21, 1978 at the American Fork Hospital were held Saturday, Novem-ber 25 at 12 noon in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, under the direc-tion of Bishop Iowa Hall of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Speakers at the ser-vices were Thomas Walker, a boyhood friend, Dan Smith, a nephew and Ben Whiting, a brother in law. Bishop Hall also spoke. Vocal Duets were given by Jeanne Walker and JoAnne Brady with accom-paniment by Sandra Walker. Prelude and Postlude music by Donna Hall. Prayers were given by Don Smith, Howard Smith and Don Benson. The grave was dedicated at the Pleasant Grove city Cemetary by David Whiting. Pall bearers were Howard, Ted, Dan and LeRoy Smith and David and Alan Whiting. Mr. Smith was born November 5, 1902, in Pleasant Grove to Daniel Miley and Emeretta White Smith. He married Duretha Allred in Manti, Utah on January 5, 1928. He attended the Utah State University in Logan and the Henager Business College. He worked for the U.S. Park Service and the Pleasant Grove city Corporation. He was a finish carpenter and was active in building many homes in the area. After his retirement, he became interested in refinishing furniture for his neighbors and friends. He was a quiet man and dedicated himself to his family. Survivors include his wife and two sons, Lyman W. of Pleasant Grove and Don E. of Blanding, Utah. He is Notice of Public Hearing The city council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 5 1978 in the city hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. to discuss with interested citizens the following matters: 6:30 The zone to be giv-en the Miller Annexation. This property is located north of the state road at about 900 West. The proposed zone for this property is C-- (comme-rcialindustrial! and the zone to be given this property will be decided at this meeting. 6:45 The proposal of the city council to declare a portion of the Wade Springs property as sur-plus and then to sell this property on a bid basis. This property is located north of 1100 North and east of the canal. Enough of the property would be retained by the city to assure further develop-ment of the springs and adherence to state board of health requirements. This project is a run of the river plant and, as such, is able to utilize only the flows directly available from American Fork Creek at its point of diversion. There is, therefore, no effect upon river flows. There are no public recreacional facilities and no public access to project lands available at this plant.
