Show Funeral Rites Held on Saturday, Harald Smith also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild and two sisters Mrs. LaRue Smith and Mrs. Retta Crease. Funeral Services for Harald Alden Smith, 76, who died Nov. 21, 1978 at the American Fork Hospital were held Saturday, November Novem-ber 25 at 12 noon in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Iowa Hall of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Speakers at the services ser-vices were Thomas Walker, a boyhood friend, Dan Smith, a nephew and Ben Whiting, a brother in law. Bishop Hall also spoke. Vocal Duets were given by Jeanne Walker and JoAnne Brady with accompaniment accom-paniment by Sandra Walker. Prelude and Postlude music by Donna Hall. Prayers were given by Don Smith, Howard Smith and Don Benson. The grave was dedicated at the Pleasant Grove city Cemetary by David Whiting. Pall bearers were Howard, Ted, Dan and LeRoy Smith and David and Alan Whiting. Mr. Smith was born November 5, 1902, in Pleasant Grove to Daniel Miley and Emeretta White Smith. He married Duretha Allred in Manti, Utah on January 5, 1928. He attended the Utah State University in Logan and the Henager Business College. He worked for the U.S. Park Service and the Pleasant Grove city Corporation. He was a finish carpenter and was active in building many homes in the area. After his retirement, he became interested in refinishing furniture for his neighbors and friends. He was a quiet man and dedicated himself to his family. Survivors include his wife and two sons, Lyman W. of Pleasant Grove and Don E. of Blanding, Utah. He is |
