One Council member would be elected form each of the four existing State Senatorial districts and three would be elected at-large. Free examinations will be given for cancer of the breast and uterus and for symptomatic sym-ptomatic colon - rectal cancer. There will be several doctors from Salt Lake City who will be working with the doctors and nurses of our own communities. com-munities. The clinic is being sponsored spon-sored locally by the North Utah County Kiwanis Club and the Pleasant Grove Kiwanis Club. It is being held in cooperation with the Utah Division of the American Cancer Society and the Virginia Whitney Cancer Detection Association. The senior citizens of Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Lehi are being invited in-vited by invitation from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The general public is invited to take advantage ad-vantage of this free cancer detection clinic from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Senior Citizens and their officers in American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Lehi are assisting in the clinic. Council would be made up of public-minded citizens essen- tially donating their time. The Council would meet at least once a week. 2. A single elected County Executive functions. His Chief responsibility would be to carry out the policies of the County Council. He would be assisted by an Administrative Assistant who would be the focal point for all of the Administrative Ad-ministrative services of the County, thus locating respon- j sibility for easy citizen access as well as for greater administrative ad-ministrative efficiency. 3. The Plan increases the number of elected County officials of-ficials to 12, but establishes clearer administrative channels chan-nels of communications. The other elected officials would be the County Attorney, County Assessor, County Clerk, and Sheriff. It is an attempt to strengthen the other half of the balance in federal-local governing arrangements. Members of the Study Commission have been: Martin Mar-tin B. Hickman, Colleen Dixon, Ariel S.Ballif, Melvin H. Beckstrand, Hal M. Clyde, Winston M. Crawford, Ned H. Hansen, Phoebe Innes, Loneta Murphy, Claudius E. Stevenson, and Stan A Taylor with Carwin C.
