Show a n t o L- jj I v I 1 - L. .. . 1 i DENNIS RUFFELL Runs for Councilman Dennis Ruff el I Will Run for Council In Lindon City Spice was added to the Lindon Lin-don elections this past week, when Dennis Ruffell submitted an affidavit requesting he be placed on the ballot for election elec-tion as London City Councilman. Council-man. Mr. Ruffell also submitted submit-ted some 40 signatures of Lindon Lin-don residents to support his affidavit of nomination. Mr. Ruffell says he plans to campaign vigorously for the office of city councilman. He will run as an independent candidate can-didate Tuesday, Nov. 2. Mr. Ruffell has served in numerous capacities in the local lo-cal Pleasant Grove Jaycees, and under his direction the club has won several awards. He has also served as a state Jaycee director, and was instrumental in-strumental in starting the Little League football program in this area. He is secretary and treasurer treasur-er of the Timpanogos Stamp Club, and has worked with the Boy Scouts. He is a member of the P.G. Sportsman Club. He was named outstanding Jaycee Jay-cee of the year in Pleasant Grove, and outstanding project chairman of the year in 1970-71 by the Orem Jaycees. He has also been chairman of the Orem Or-em Jaycees Jr. League Football Foot-ball program and their public relations director. He is married to the former Bonnie Burke of Tacoma, Washington, and they are the parents of four children. He is an employee of Geneva Steel Corp., working there for the past 8 years. |
