Pro-Utah Drive for Funds Slated Throughout Utah, Jaycees Help "Do you care enough to invest in-vest in Utah's future?" This is the theme selected by Pro-Utah for its 1970 membership drive. Industrial developmeent is everyone's ev-eryone's business. Therefore, everyone should have the opportunity op-portunity to invest in their state's future. This announcee-ment announcee-ment was made by C. Taylor Burton, executive vice presi- dent and manager of Pro-Utah, Inc. The Utah Jaycee organization is pledged to support Pro-Utah with its membereship drive. A commitment from the Jaycees to undertake the solicitation of business establishments for Pro-Utah will provide a tremendous tre-mendous boost for our organization, organ-ization, said Mr. Burton. A breawfast meeting was held last week to prepare for the membership drive in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove.-Hal J. Allen, Pro-Utah's Pro-Utah's area representative for Pleasant Grove, conducted the meeting. Local Jaycees were present to accept the responsibility respon-sibility for the local drive. Those who become members of Pro-Utah will receive a membership certificate indicating indi-cating they have shown concern con-cern for the state's industrial development, a Pro-Utah lapel button and the Pro-Utah quarterly quar-terly news letter. Pro-Utah functions as a statewide state-wide chamber of commeerce and as a non-profit, private enterprise sponsored industrial development organization dedicated dedi-cated to the promotion of new industry for the state and the expansion of existing industry. We feel the time is ripe for a massive, state-wide- membership member-ship program for Pro-Utah, said Mr. Burton. The state is presently very industrial development devel-opment conscious. The membership program began be-gan Nov. 9 under tiie direction of Harold Woolley, presidentelect president-elect of Pro-Utah, and Ronald E. McMillin, assistant manager. manag-er. The Jaycees, along with loaned executives, volunteers and Pro-Utah representatives, will be contacting all businesses throughout the State of Utah. |
