Show Opinion Poll Has Success in P.G., Good Response The American Security Council Coun-cil of Washington, D.C., to whom the tabulations of the recent re-cent opinion poll conducted in our community, has sent congratulations con-gratulations to the citizens of Pleasant Grove on their willing will-ing and intelligent response to the questions on major security problems. While 835 of those who expressed ex-pressed an opinion were for cutting federal spending as a means of controlling inflation, for building up our national defenses de-fenses rather than cutting them as Russia wants us to, prohibiting prohibit-ing Communists from working in our defense plants or teaching teach-ing in our colleges, making stricter laws to control rioters, and demonstrators, only five per cent were for more social welfare programs, and only six per cent for legalized abortion. Many citizens were undecided on these and other important security issues. |
