The event has been scheduled for Saturday, Satur-day, Nov. 28 in the high school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Master of ceremonies will be Bob Welti of TV fame, and admission ad-mission will be $1.00. Girls who are trying out for Jr. Miss will be selling tickets in advance. Allred Builders in P.G., wants The winner of the local pageant pag-eant will go to the state contest con-test in January, and possibly a chance at the National Jr. Miss title. She will also win a $500 scholarship to Paris-All Models in Salt Lake City. Runnerups in the local contest will be given giv-en $300 and $200 scholarships to the Paris-All Models also. So far 16 girls are signed up to participate, and a resume of the first five are included in this issue. Names and pictures of the other participants will be in later issues of the Review. LuAnn Allred LuAnn is the brown-haired, blue-eyed daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Allred of Pleasant Grove. She is a member of the Pep Club, student legislative council, Ski Club, FHA, GAA, to become an elementary tea-on tea-on the honor roll. She works for cher, plays piano, sews, plays all sports. She is also organist in the First Ward Primary. Lillian Edith Rasband A brown-eyed blonde, Lillian Edith Rasband is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Rasband of Lindon. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Debate De-bate Club, Thespian and Pep Clubs, and a Candy Striper at American Fork Hospital. She is training to be a nurse, and also likes sports, and coin collecting. col-lecting. She is Primary, Sunday Sun-day School and ward organist in Lindon Ward. Cheri Lee Peay A blue-eyed blond from Lindon, Lin-don, Cheri Lee Peay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (Continued on page 4) Junior Miss (Continued from page 1) Wayne Peay. Cheri is a member mem-ber of the Pep Club, and pianist pian-ist for school plays. She was 1969 and on the honor rolL She is a secretary at American Fork Hospital, and Jr. Sunday School and Sunday School organist or-ganist in the Lindon Second Ward. She enjoys skiing, sewing sew-ing and singing. Lorie Adams Lorie Adams is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dean Adams of Lindon. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She has participated in school plays and on the National Honor Hon-or Society. She has been a GAA member for four years. She was also girl of the month for citizenship and scholastic activity activ-ity for December, 1969. She enjoys en-joys horseback riding, sports, and hair styling and sewing. She teaches the Star class in Primary and is on the Bishop's Youth Council in her ward. Bonita Penrod Bonita Penrod is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Penrod. She has brown hair and blue-green eyes. She is secretary sec-retary of the French Club, teaches tea-ches in Primary and is active in the Bishop's Youth Council. She works part time at Utah State Training School. She plans to go to college and major ma-jor in child development and family relationships. She plays piano, and enjoys outdoor sport and singing and sewing. |
