Grove Dogs By. an ordinance recently passed by the City Council, all dog owners in the city limits are required to have their dogs vaccinated for rabies and that this vaccination be given every two years. Proof of vaccina-tion must be submitted at the time of purchase of a dog li-cense. To assist residents of the city it has been arranged to have Dr. Donald Roper, local veter-inarian, establish a one-da- y clinic in Pleasant Grove to ad-minister rabies shots to all dogs brought in by their own-ers. A fee of $2.50 will be char-ged for this service. This charge includes $2.00 for the vaccination and 50 cents to the city to be used for con-struction of a new dog pound. The regular fee charged by a veterinarian for this service at his office is usually $5.00. All those interested In the clinic can obtain additional in-formation by calling the city hall, 785-331- The clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, between the hours of 12 noon and 4:00 p.m. and will be held in back of the city hall building. It will be necessary for those who plan to bring their dog to the clinic to call the city hall and make arrangements for an appointment before Nov. 25. This is necessary in order for the doctor to plan for th num-ber of dogs to be vaccinated. Those not able to attend the clinic on Dec. 5 can inquire at the city hall to make arrangee-ment- s for a second clinic later in the month. If enough owners want a second clinic these ar-rangements can be made. All citizens are urged to co-operate in this clinic for the protection of all residents of the community.
