Clerks are Claude Gillies, Ralph Phillips, and Elton Robb. Newell Adamson, executive execu-tive secretary, absent when pic was taken. Glade Hilton Sustained as Bishop of P.G. Third Ward Glade Hilton was sustained last Sunday evening as the new bishop in the Third Ward, Timpanogos Tim-panogos Stake. Presiding at the meeting was Stake President David C. Harvey with Roy Hal-laday Hal-laday conducting. Sustained as counselors were Walter Reimschiissel and Jack Phillips. Clerks were Phillips. Ralph Phillips was sustained as clerk, Claude Gillies as finance clerk and Elton El-ton Robb as welfare clerk. The executive secretary, Newell .Adamson, succeeded himself in this position. The new bishopric and clerks replaced Carl Ringger, as bishop, bish-op, Roy Halladay and Don Smith as counselors and Jack Phillips, Fred Atwood and Jack Pace. Bishop Hilton is a native of Pleasant Grove, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hilton. He grad uated from the Pleasant Grove High School, attended the Utah State University, and has served serv-ed in the armed forces. In church capacities, the new bishop has served as a ward clerk and as a counselor in the bisopric. He has served as athletic ath-letic director, in the stake and ward MIA superintendency and in the Sunday School superintendency. superin-tendency. He works as a rural carrier in the Pleasant Grove Post Office. Of-fice. He married the former Myrtle Green of Pleasant Grove and they have six living children. child-ren. Walter Reimschiissel is a native of American Fork. He is a graduate of American Fork High School and received his B.A. and M.A. from the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University. For the LDS Church he has been , ward clerk, president of the Seventies, and for the past four years, has been high priest group leader. He is a teacher by profession, currently being principal at the Opportunity School in American Ameri-can Fork. He is also a Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Councilman. He married the former Eva Pederson of Pleasant Grove, and they are the parents of four children. Jack Phillips was born in Pleasant Grove and graduated from the American Fork High School. He has served 2 years in the army. For his church, he has been MIA superintendent, Sunday School superintendent, presi-ident presi-ident of the Elders Quorum, an advisor in the Aaronic priesthood, priest-hood, and as ward clerk. He has also served a stake mission. He married the former Eloise Shields and they have four children. chil-dren. Ralph C. Phillips was born in Provo. He attended schools in American Fork, and graduated from American Fork High School. He is employed by the Phillips Mfg. Co. of Lehi. For the LDS Church he has been Explorer advisor, in the Elders Quorum presidency, and a Deacons Quorum advisor. He is married to the former Marilyn Hansen of Spanish Fork and they have five children. chil-dren. Claude Gillies was bom in Greenriver, Utah, He received his education in Provo. Mr. Gillies is an active high priest, has served in the scouting scout-ing program, the stake adult Aaronic priesthood, and has been a counselor in the Sunday School superintendency for the past 6 years. He married the former Naomi Na-omi Lamb of Salem and they are the parents of four children. child-ren. Elton Robb was born in Cowley, Cow-ley, Wyoming, attended school there, and graduated from the Cowley High School. He has served two stake missions, mis-sions, as Sunday School superintendent, super-intendent, as Ensign assistant teacher, as Jr. genealogy secretary sec-retary and as as Seventies lesson les-son leader. He married the former Ruth Tippetts, and they have five cliildren and a foster Indian son. |
