It will resume its regular sche-dule next week. rTTifTf J '; MARK JOHNSON Gets Eagle award Mark Johnson Has Eagle Award at Recent Ceremony Mark Ivor Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas C. John-son, received his Eagle Scout award at the recent Court of Honor at the new Stake Center. It was presented to him by the Order of the Arrow. Mark, who is 13 years old, also received a Golden Eagle Feather. Mark is president of his Dea-con's quorum in the Fourth Ward, senior patrol leader in Troop 20, and has the mile swim and one individual award He is a member of the youth council under the direction of Bishop Glen Phillips. Mark's hobbies are playing the guitar, coin collecting, and fishing and hunting. Lindon Council (Continued from page 1) payments that have come in were certainly appreciated. It was reported the fountain in the city park is broken and that it will need to be repaired. Dust problems at the park and means of elimination were also discussed. It was moved that the mill levy for fiscal year 1970-7- 1 re-main at 23 mills. Motion was passed by unanimous vote. All Lindon citizens who have paid their garbage dues may receive a "refuse permit" by coming by the office and pick-ing it up. This permit wlil en-title the person to haul any-thing that cannot be picked up by the regular collection and be admitted to the dump with-out extra charge. At the budget hearing held on June 3, the following budget was approved by Lindon City Council for fiscal year 1970-7- Revenues: General fund, $691 669.75; Water fund, $43,699.22; Bond Redemption and Interest Fund, $12,128.61; Class C Road fund, $8,072.50; ' Expenditures are expected to be the same as revenues in each of the different funds. A.F. Orioles Still Leading in Pony League Baseball The A.F. Orioles look like the team to win in the Pony League as play is drawing to an end. They have only lost one game so far this season, winning 12 as of July 18, and their nearest competitor is the A.F. Athletics, with a 12 and 3 record. Kemp, who died July 20, 1970 in Lehi, will be held today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in in the Wing Mortuary, Lehi. Mrs. Kemp was born June 30, 1888, in Orem to Walter J. and Margaret Baxter Matthews. She married Josiah Kemp Sept. 24, 1906 in Salt Lake City. He died May 30, 1951. She was a dressmaker. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. A. Clark (Winnifred) Nel-son, Lehi; 2 grandchilrden, 8 brothers, sisters, Howard J., Glen, Mrs. Marion (Beatea) Adamson, Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Framp-ton- , all Pleasant Grove; Doug-las D., Union; John T., Glen-dal- e, Calif. Burial will be in the Pleas-ant Grove City Cemetery. Fredrick Gardiner Funeral Services Today at 10 a.m. American Fork Fredrick Walter Gardner Sr., 65, died July 20 in a Provo hospital of natural causes. He was born Sept. 24, 1904, Sonora, Mexico, to Charles F. and Sarah Cox Gardner. He married Olive Marble, June 1, 1926 in St. Johns Ariz., They were later divorced. He married Venice Hutchingson Knecht, Feb. 13, 1949, she died March, 1965. Survivors include sons and daughters, Fredrick W., Kearns Mrs. Frenda Stagg, American Fork; Byron N., Flagstaff, Ari-zona; Almer U.S. Army, Japan; Ozwild H., Lehi; George T., Lindon; Mrs. Keith (Orva) Miner, Provo; Delano B.j Spring Lake; Luis G., Am-erican Fork; Kathleen J., Maple ton; Vaughn, James T., both Orem; David J., Californ-ia; 29 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
