Show Jr League Football Ready for Fall Signup of Players Baseball season is fast drawing draw-ing to a close and football is in the air. The officers of the Utah Valley Football Conference Confer-ence are making preparations for the coming season. New field markers and down markers have been purchased, new pro-type goal posts aer being constructed. A new snack stand is being built and the restrooms remodeled. All in all it looks like the best season yet for our Jr. League program All games will be played at American Fork again this year. It worked out so well last year that the officers voted unanimously unan-imously to play the complete schedule there again this ear. Registration is underway, and all 8th and 9th grade boys are invited to signup for the coming season. Boundaries between be-tween the two teams will be the same as last year. The P.G. Eagles will include boys north of 200 South and the Lindon Lin-don Steelers will include boys south of 200 South and Lindon. Registration will be $20 per boy again this year, with $6.00 per boy going for insurance, $10 for uniform rental, and $4 for such things as socks, athletic equpiment, and first aid equipment equip-ment and uniform repair and upkeep. Th P.G. officers, Darrell Carson, Bryce Clements, Tom Trinnaman and Dean Rowland have decided to reorganize the coaching staffs of both teams and candidates are being interviewed inter-viewed now. Anyone interested in coaching one of these two teams please contact one of the league officials. |
