A Sims operates the Bountiful Dog and Cat Hospital at South West Bountiful DR SIMS came to Bountiful in 1967 following his graduation graduation graduation tion from Colorado State University University University sity with a Doctor of Veterinary ary Medicine degree After completing a six month internship under the supervision of Dr A. A E E. Larsen Dr Sims purchased the hospital from Dr Larsen and has operated it since that time DR SIMS provides provides' many types of medical dental and surgical services for pet animals animals animals ani ani- ani- ani mals at the hospital Dr Sims hopes to be able to provide 24 hours nursing service and an intensive care unit things which are rapidly becoming necessities in the veterinary medical field al although although although al- al though due to economic factors factors factors fac fac- tors few hospitals provide this service at the present tIme lime DR SIMS was born in Evanston Wyo where he attended elementary and high schools When he graduated from high school in 1961 he enrolled at the University of Wyoming where he completed the required veterinary pre-veterinary curricula In 1963 he was accepted and enrolled at Colorado State University University University Uni Uni- in the College of Veterinary Veterinary Veterinary Vet Vet- Medicine He completed completed completed com com- his degree in the prescribed prescribed pre pre- scribed four years in 1967 IN COLLEGE Dr Sims was active in a number of organ organ- Among them were Alpha Zeta Honorary Fra Fra- Lamba Delta Sigma Student Religious Council and Jr American Veterinary Medical Medical Medical Medi Medi- cal Association At the present time Dr Sims is a member of the Salt Lake Small Animal Hospital Hospital Hospital Hos Hos- pital Association Utah Veterinary Veterinary Veterinary Vet Vet- Medical Association American Veterinary Medical Association South Davis Chamber of Commerce and South Davis Club DR SIMS married the former former former for for- mer Janice Briggs of Bountiful ful in 1968 They are expecting their first child in December At the present time they are residing in Bountiful at So West Dr and M Mrs Sims ms are active members of the West Bountiful Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints |
