'Fonce' and Mabel Martinez to celebrate 50 years together Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Martinez Mar-tinez will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 20. "Fonce" and Mabel, now residents of Heber City, were married Nov. 25, 1933 in Heber City. Fonce was born April 7, 1915 in Salt Lake City to Joseph and Beneta Martinez. Mar-tinez. He spent his childhood in Park City. Mabel was born April 11, 1917 in Heber City to Andrew and Myrtle Mair. Mable grew up in Heber City. Fonce and Mabel lived most of their married life in Park City where Fonce worked in various positions in the mines. He retired from United Park Mines in 1976. Mabel worked 41 years at various jobs including 13 years with the Park City School District, from which she retired in 1982. Richard and Leona Martinez, Mar-tinez, son and daughter-in-law, along with Fonce and Mabel's nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren will be hosting an open house in their honor. They would like to invite all friends and relatives to attend this happy hap-py event. It will be held Nov 20, 1983 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the home of granddaughter Jana Rae Grose, 773 East 450 South, Swiss Meadows, Midway, Utah. |
