Show Loble named to U. of U. panel Arlene Loble, city manager of Park City, has been named to a Practitioner Prac-titioner Advisory Committee on Public Administration Education at the University of Utah. The 21-member committee consisting of administrators in state and local government govern-ment and private industry from throughout the Wasatch Was-atch Front, is designed to bring a practical perspective to University certificate and master's degree programs in public administration. The committee is expected to meet twice a year, with the first meeting scheduled Nov. 23 at noon in the University's Olpin Union. . The initial meeting will review preliminary results of a survey on what kind of in-service education in public administration is needed in Utah. The committee commit-tee is also scheduled to discuss how well the economics courses and thesis requirements in the present MPA and ceritificate programs relate to the "real world." Other members include Salt Lake City Mayor Ted L. Wilson; Salt Lake County Commission Chairman Michael Stewart; directors of the Utah Departments of Social Services and Natural Resources; and state directors direc-tors for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and Internal In-ternal Revenue Service. |
