Show Parkite wins veterinary award Dr. Keith S. Lund of Park City, recently received the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Excel Award when he success-fully completed a four-hour written examination at the Association's 52nd annual meeting. Worldwide, AAHA has 11,000 veterinary members who engage in companion animal medicine. Primary objectives include the establishment of quality standards for the operation of small animal hospitals and a long-term program of continuing education for its members. The Excel Award exam, the first of its kind, was successfully completed by 108 of the 134 veterinarians who took it. The examination was taken by veterinarians from across the United States, Canada and abroad. The goal of the AAHA Excel program is to assess the veterinarian's knowledge of up-to-date companion animal medicine and surgery, and to recognize those who have kept up in the field. As one of the first to take this examination, Dr. Lund has the distinction of becoming a Charter Excel Award Winner. |
