Graduating from LDS seminary activity in other area high schools were Jerry Record and Wendy Hosenfeld. Certificates of achievement were presented to Holly Daines and Mark Knudson. Speaking at the ceremony were Kristie Glad, vice president of the Park City Seminary Council, student Michael Richards, Seminary Principal Dale Fuelling and Park City High School Principal Dr. Jack Do.ier President H. Douglas (ilad of the Park City Stake reminded those present it is only through education and personal development that the capacity to render service to others will mature. ; He also complimented those involved in the education of Park City's children and recognized teachers Arlene Burgener and John Krenkel, who were present; as special guests. Musical selections were performed by DeEtte Hone, Leigh Hill and Julia Limpert. More than 325,000 young people are enrolled worldwide in the LDS church seminary and institute program. The program's purpose is to encourage young people to read and study the standard works (scriptures) and become familiar with basic life-oriented scriptural principles. |
