Show KPCW to Conduct Survey in Counties Although there are still some technical problems to be ironed out, the Lewis Peak translator of listener-supported listener-supported KPCW (88.1 FM), is now doing a reasonably good job of covering the North and South Summit areas. The Board of Trustees of Community Wireless, the not-for-profit organization formed to license non-commercial KPCW, is committed to providing service, especially espec-ially news and public affairs programming, to the North and South Summit and Heber City areas. To better provide that service KPCW has engaged a research team from the University of Utah to survey the needs and the preferences prefer-ences of the residents of Wasatch and Summit Counties. Count-ies. Over the next few weeks, volunteers will be making approximately 300 telephone calls through the area asking questions to help the radio station ascertain how it can best provide the services residents need. Results of the survey will be compiled by computer and will provide the bases for decisions by the station in regrads to programming. pro-gramming. At the "same time, KPCW is also asking residents who may not be contacted by phone, to fill out the short survey form included here, This is the only way we can know what kind of programming program-ming you would like to hear on the station, so it is important that we hear from you. Please mail this form to P.O. Box 1372, Park City, Utah, or drop it by the Memorial Building, where the station is located. Deadline for the survey will be January 31st. |
