Show Too Fast Up Empire Edward Mecogliano of Missouri was arrested last week and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol by local police officer John Newland, who clocked Mecogliano driving 62 miles an hour up Empire Avenue. Thieves Still on the Loose Thefts continued to keep local police busy this week as tourists and Park City residents alike were victimized. Suzanne Catherine Bryan of Boulder, Colorado has approximately $835 worth of merchandise stolen from her car parked in the northeast parking lot at Homestake Condominiums last week. Stolen items included a fondue set, electric hair curler set, a clock radio and jewelry. Richard Clouse of Idaho reported his skis and poles, worth $200, were taken from his car in the underground parking facility at Snowflower Condominiums. And Woodside Avenue resident John William Jenkins reported to local police that his 1977 Blazer with an attached snow plow was stolen; police recovered the vehicle. Another Tire Slashing Incident A two-inch cut was slashed across a Michelin snow tire belonging to Cathy Pope of Park City, causing $65 damage. Ms. Pope's car was parked in the Holiday Village parking lo t last week at the time of the incident. |
