Show Armed Robber Nobbed The Deputy Sheriffs, aided by several Highway Patrol troopers quickly sealed off the area with Deputies McNaughton, Stevens and Trooper Wilde covering in the Wanship area, and Fred Eley patroling Brown's Canyon. Less than a half hour after McHenry's report was received, Deputy Eley spotted the suspect and took off in pursuit. The beige Cadillac was stopped between Wanship and Peoa and the suspect was taken into custody. A previous armed robbery occurring at the Woodland Cash Store in August was also solved in less than a half hour by the County deputies who reacted rapidly to the ' initial robbery report. A 24-year-old Salt Lake man is being held in the Coalville jail on charges of armed robbery after taking several valuable . pieces of jewelry from a Samak man at gun point. Bill McHenry, owner of Bill & Nada's Cafe in Salt Lake, reported that a man wearing a ski mask rang the door bell of his Samak residence at about 10 p.m. Saturday. The bandit, brandished a 22 magnum revolver and took a diamond ring worth over $6,000 and other articles of value. After the robber had made his get away, McHenry hurriedly notified the County Sheriff s office, reporting the suspect was driving an older model beige Cadillac. |
