Show ownership of the proposed sources of supply, applica- tion numbers for -filing with the State Division of Water Rights and evidence that the spring andor well as a new water source can be adequately adequat-ely isolated from all present and potential sources of pollution. Because providing proof of ( a water , source has never been required prior , to the : issuance of a building . permit, all potential home-builders home-builders should take note of the change so as not to be delayed in . obtaining a building permit. The Building Build-ing Dept. does not wish to delay the building of those . persons who have an adequate ade-quate water supply available to them, however, it is the intention of the Building ; Office to alert people to the fact that there is a critical concern over water in the. future. It is hoped that the ; new. policy will help ; alert those who, do not have an adequate source of water to the procedures that they must follow in order to do so. A total of 320 building permits were' issued during : the 1979 year.i95 new year-; year-; round homes were built and 91 seasonal cabins were y. f constructed. The State Office of Water . Rights has recently taken an in-depth look at the . physical water available in the Snyderville Basin, the area surrounding Park City. The Office is trying to determine if enough water is available for the -numerous exchange applications applica-tions that are being filed with that office. In addition, the Weber . Basin Conservancy District announced last fall; that it will not , process any applications for sales of new,: water until such time as additional water, becomes available. Indications at' this point are that the moratorium morator-ium may be imposed for as much as 3 to 5 years. ' Because water' is a growing grow-ing concern affecting . both current and future Summit County residents the Summit ; County Building Dept. announces an-nounces that . a source of water must be provided prior .to the issuance of any residential building permits r for the coming year 1980. In specific, the requirements are .-...That a person building a dwelling which will be - . connected to an existing public, water system must j provide a statement from the ! responsible system indicat-! indicat-! ing that adequate water is available to serve the indivi-' indivi-' dual home.
