This would include anyone who skied in the Pro Class last year, but is not competing, on a world, national, or regional level now. Open Pro Class - Any team who has competitors who are racing on an amateur, professional pro-fessional or semi-profession- a! level.; Any person who - belongs to a sanctioned racing organization , nusV compete in this class. The problems have stemmed , from no official rules for participants to follow and really no one to enforce those rules. A Race (Committee , has , been formed to originate a set' of rules that will govern , the operation of Town Races. 0 This committee will adopt and enforce all rules that are associated with race registrar : tion, assist in running the races, and support the race department in its effort to run our town races success- fully. It will be the responsib- '; ility of this committee to enforce the rules and apply sanctions on those violating the town race rules. . Town race events will be held during the 1980 ski season at Park City Resort. " ' i i ii " ' . . . - '. ' The race location will be v determined prior to each race depending on field size and snow conditions. The first race on January 10 will be a qualification race to establish a criteria for team selection for the entire series. Entry fee is $5.00 per person per race. Entry fee must accompany registration form or entry will not be valid. No exceptions. Make checks payable to Park City Town Race. . Eligibility is for anyone 19 , years of age as of Dec. 31, 1979. Y6u no longer have to be a resident or employee of Park City. We certainly plan on Park City locals to make up the majority of competitors competi-tors but with growing inter- -est in this event, we would like other areas represented. One person must represent repre-sent each team as Team Captain for the entire series. This person is responsible for , all sign-nps and pre-race pre-race registration. The Team r Captains must pick' up his entire team's bibs and is responsible for distribution of bibs and relating all on hill race instructions to racers as 7 to when where, etc Team Registration , Tp sign up a team for the .year;' one ; Member . of the team (Team Captain) must submit a team registration form: to the race dept. by January , 22 before 12:00 , noon. No team may sign up after the registration deadline, dead-line, v , " Each team must register a minimum of five racers and a maximum of seven. These competitors must remain and compete on that team and in t that class for the entire ' series unless otherwise instructed in-structed by the Race Committee. Com-mittee. ' No substitutions will be made by any team during the season, except in "the case'of ' an injury requiring a doctor's -verification. ' The maximum j number of 7 allows each team the option of racing all t 7 or skiing with the minimum of three. No substitutions can be made, during the season. Each team must . supply the race dept. with a list (Registration Form) to include nanies. addresses, phone numbers and appro-?. appro-?. priate information. If the ' original list of names does not match the entries for a particular race, the entire team will be disqualified. The two fastest men and one woman, or the two ; fastest women and one man's times will be used to score results. A team stand-' stand-' ing will be maintained by the I ; Race Committee and will be -posted prior to and following each race. Performance Clause !
