Show Police Dept. Receives $2000 Grant Park City Police Chief, Garth Wilkinson, was recently informed that his department had won a $2,000 grant to purchase equipment equip-ment used in the follow up investigative work conducted for the most part by Detective Rob Berry. The monies were made available avail-able from the Utah Council on Criminal Justice through Mount-ainland Mount-ainland Association of Governments. Govern-ments. According to Wilkinson, Detective Detec-tive Berry has requested that the funds be used to purchase a camera, various lenses and other photographic equipment and supplies sup-plies to aid in his investigative work. The Chief, despairingly admits however, that Berry's investigative investiga-tive activities have been substantially substan-tially curtailed after several residents compalined about three officers being assigned to day duty while only two patrolled at night. Berry apparently met with considerable success in clearing up many lingering cases through his investigative prowess and Wilkinson hopes that his detective detec-tive will soon be allowed to resume that line of work. |
