There is a wide selection of Bennett paint, including includ-ing indoor and outdoor, on hand in sizes of pints, quarts, and gallons. Ray Speckman and Marti Carr own The Paint Bucket. Speckman said he would be able to mix paints in order to insure having any color for the customer. One other item at The Paint Bucket will be wooven wood shades, which are made from wood with a yarn pattern. They are used over windows. In all, there are over 100 carpet samples, approximately 1000 wall cover samples, and over 2000 drapery samples at the new paint store in Park City. Marti Carr said optimistically that after people know of the Pain Bucket, "I think we'll do really good." Ray Speckman added he hoped to get a lot of business from both the construction work as well as homeowners. Besides the oil and waterbase paints, The Paint Bucket will sell spray paints. The art supply includes canvases, charcoal, easels, eas-els, and mediums. Construction on The Paint Bucket began at the end of August when Speckman and Can-converted Can-converted two apartments into their 900 square feet paint supply store. Marti Carr-said they were trying to establish a service for Park City residents, and not just for tourist trade. In addition, the store will stay open regular hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. When the ski season begins, The Paint Bucket may stay open later. Two unique items at the paint store include scrolls, which have various sayings engraved on them, and wedding invitation candles. The scrolls sell for $l while the wedding candles begin at $12.95. Prizes will be given away at the grand opening this Saturday, which include a $50 decorator mirror, paint bucket radios, candy, and T-Shirts. Hours for the grand opening are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. "We're trying to be a service to what people in Park City need," said Ray Speckman. For further information and service, call 649-9275. |
