The five agents in Park City will register voters in their homes all day Saturday, one of three "special registration days" in the state of Utah. The five agents and their districts are: . Rich Martinez Six candidates will square off next Tuesday in the first round of this year's fight for two open city council seats. Two of the six will be sent to the locker room. The other four .-'"..' , &i I 1 " it ' . : Mary Lehmer The field includes a former councilman, a Main Street businessman, busi-nessman, a real estate and housing manager, and three employees of Park Ventures mining company. Not surprisingly, all six Matt Alvarez, Mary Lehmer, Rich Martinez, Wayne Putman, Bob Trepanier and Bob Wells think they can best represent the people of Park City.- , t ft I I I I " I . I : " d Wayne Putman will fight it out again in November. One incumbent councilman, Rich Martinez, will pin his hopes on the public's view that he's done a good job and should remain in office. At least one of the other five will provide a new face on the council by gaining the seat now Bob Wells So far, no burning issues have surfaced to dominate the campaign, cam-paign, which lost some of its luster when no candidate stepped forward to challenge Jack Green for Mayor, but the choice will be crucial to the future of booming Park City. The city council is the governing body of Park City's government, overseeing the day to day management of the city at city hall, the planning commission, commis-sion, the police and all the town's laws and ordinances. It is still not too late to register for Tuesday's primary, although it may be too late to register by mail.
