Show PCHS Wrestlers Lose Match To Grantsville Park City High School's wrestling team lost to Grantsville Grants-ville last Thursday during an away match, 45 to 23. Coach Wayne Carlson said his team remains enthusiastic and eager, but added, "We're still inexperienced." In last week's match, Miners' John Wright, Rob Maloney, Quinn Sieverts, and John Newland pinned their opponents. Maloney's win was forfeited when the judge determined deter-mined him to be overweight for his class (105 pound). Park City lost six points by forfeit in the 126 pound class. Ted Smith, wrestling in the 145 pound category, beat his Grantsville opponent by a major ma-jor decision. Mike Weaver, 155 pounds, lost a close match by a 7-8 decision. The Miners were scheduled to travel to Intermountain Tuesday of this week, and then return for a home double dual match against Altamont and Duchesne. Tomorrow's match at the high school gym begins at 6:30 p.m. |
