Closed all day January 1. children's christmas party The Park Elk's Lodge will hold their annual children's Christmas party Saturday, December 16 from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge on Main Street. Santa will be there with gifts for everyone and refreshments will be served. Everyone in town is cordially invited to attend the party. no more licenses Due to budget restraints, residents will no longer be able to apply for or renew Utah driver licenses in Park City. The service will still be offered in Coalville. For times and dates call the Park City Police Department, 649-9361. new chapel hours The Calvary Chapel is now meeting at the Cultural Center. Sunday service beings at 9:30 a.m. Bible study starts at 6 p.m. Randy Morich. new Pastor. 649-8301. public hearing The Park City Municipal Corporation is in the process of applying for the Community Development Block Grant which could provide funds up to $850,000 for the following activities: Acquisition Public Facilities Improvements Main Street Redevelopment Rehabilitation of Public Residential Structures Rehabilitation of Private Structures Historic Preservation Public hearings will be held on the following dates: December 7, 1978 and December 21, 1978. The hearings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Prospector Square Conference Center. The purpose of the hearings is to receive citizen input on the community development proposals and to determine the priorities. Residents of Park City, particularly those persons residing in the older sections of the City are invited to attend the meetings and express their views and proposals. bus stops at stops only Park City buses stop only at designated stops. Riders are urged to wait at designated stops and not attempt to flag buses down.- no council meeting Due to the Christmas holidays, there will be no Park City Council meeting Thursday, Dec. 21. The next scheduled meeting will be Jan. 4. children's christmas play "The Story of Silent Night," performed by children, will be shown at Park City Community Church this Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Refreshments will follow the play. blood pressure clinic The Public Health Nurse will be taking blood plressures from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 in her office at Marsac School. This free service is being offered by the Summit County Health Department and persons 18 years of age and older are urged to come. If there is no answer, please call back. immunization clinic Immunization clinics are -held the third Tuesday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Public Health Nurse's office at Marsac School. The December clinic will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19. School age children and adults should have Tetanus boosters every 10 years. Check your health records to see if all family members are up to date with their immunizations. Flu vaccine is recommended for persons who have a chronic disease or who are prone to pneumonia or who are 65 years of age or over.
