Show Improvement District for Summit Park Residents of Summit County have received notice of a recently-adopted resolution by the Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners creating a special county improvement district for sewer improvements in the Summit Park area. The district would acquire funds and construct a sewage collection system to serve all lots in the Summit Park subdivision. The total cost is estimated at $1.5 million to be paid by a special tax levied against the property abutting the streets and upon property which may be affected or benefited by the improvements. im-provements. The estimated cost to the property owner would be $1,850 per lot. A public hearing will be held Nov. 15 at which protests and objections will be heard by the commissioners. The hearing will be held at the old Park City High School at 7:30 p.m. The entire cost of the system will be borne by the lot owners and the district intends to sell bonds to finance the project. The bond issue was approved by voters last summer. The bonds will be amortized over a 10-year period with the lot owner choosing to pay off the entire assessment when it comes due or paying 10 annual installments plus interest. A questionnaire has been sent to all property owners asking their response to the proposal. |
