Show Hal Taylor Sues Companies Hal Taylor Associates, a Park City real estate firm, has filed a $512,000 breach of contract suit in the Third District Court at Coalville. Named as defendants in the March 15 complaint are: Greater Park City Co., Treasure Mountain Corp., Western Mortgage, Union America Inc., Ramshire Inc., and Four Associates, Inc. The suit stems from the June sale of $5.2 million worth of drastically reduced Park Avenue condominiums. The sale came about after Greater Park City Co. turned the 110 unsold units over to Western Mortgage and its subsidiary Union America. Union America gave the real estate listing to a Salt Lake firm which sold all 110 units in five days at the reduced price. In the suit, Taylor maintains that at the time he was still under contract with Greater Park City Co. and Treasure Mountain Corp., giving his firm exclusive listings and underwriting privileges. He claims that his contract was not voided when the new group took over the condominiums because terms of his contract were binding to Greater Park City Co. and its successors, (successors being Union America.) |
