Show 'Get Hot' Skiers Return with Laurels Professional Freestylersfrom Park West continued their winning ways at the March 12-14 12-14 Keystone Chevrolet Freestyle Open in Keystone, Colorado, taking four out of the top ten places in the ballet event. Ed Poquette's 2nd place netted him-$l,000 and was the second time he's come close to winning a Chevy event after taking third in the previous Boyne Mt. meet. Bob Theo bald's fifth place finish in a new routine matched the fifth place he took in the year's first Chevy meet at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. Stu O'Brien took seventh place in the ballet, the third time this year he's finished in the top ten. Mike Russell put together his act in only his second pro meet to take ninth place after his eighth place tie with Wayne Wong was awarded to the veteran Wong. All four competitors are coaches at Theobald's "Get Hot" Freestyle Center at Park West. Tony de Joseph, a student stu-dent at the "Get Hot" center was fifth in the aerial eliminations elimin-ations before suffering a bad landing and injuring his left shoulder. The competitors will be going go-ing next to the Chevrolet Freestyle Free-style Finals in Heavenly Valley, California April 16, 17, and 18. |
