hardware, gas plans presented The planning commission last week heard plans for a self-service gas station and hardware store on highway 248 next to the Olpin Mortuary. Presented by Kerry MacKelvey, proprietor of Main Street's Mac's Doughnut Shops, the plans call for a hardware store with some convenience items, such as those carried in a 7-11 store, and self serve gas pumps. MacKelvey said some offices would also be located on the second floor of the building. Although MacKelvey said approval had already been received from the state highway department for their accesses in and out of the project, the commission requested more detailed renderings and a landscape plan. "We need a great deal more detail," said commission Chairman Burnis Watts.
