The ceremony was performed by Bishop Heber Rasband Monday, April 29 at the home of thebride'sparents, Mrs. Faye Giles was bridesmaid brides-maid and Mr. William Bailey oi Park City was best man. Tuesday afternoon Mrs, Clyde Evans entertained at a kitchen shower in honor of Mrs. Max Sailor. The afternoon was spent playing games, after which the hostess served delicious de-licious refreshments. The bride received many useful and beautiful beau-tiful gifts. Last week James Kearns disposed dis-posed of his property in the First Ward to C. L. Carlson, and Monday of this week left for Southern California. Mr. Kearns has been in poor health for many months past. The exibition given by the Girls Friendly on Main Street last night attracted a large crowd I of citizens who thoroughly enjoyed the clever "Maypol Dance" by the young ladies. Ijt was a novel street feature, land commendable on the part of both promoters and performers. The Park City band is also to be commended for the splendid selections rendered render-ed during the evening. Ye lovers of baseball turn out in force next Sunday after-' after-' noon to see our home ball team in their new and nifty uniforms and "root" them to victory. The ; Bingham team will be here to cross bats with our home boys and as our mining camp is superior to Bingham an ernest i effort will be made to convince j the visitors that we also have a i superior baseball team. Game i called at 3 p.m. sharp. Be there ; and enjoy the national sport. Our ; home team will be materially strengthened Sunday by the ad- dition of new pitchers. Miss Ethel Birbeck came up j from Salt Lake last Saturday : on a few days visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Birkbeck. What came as a surprise to the family and friends was the ; announcement yesterday that Miss Florence Andrew and Dr. C. C. Hatch were about to be united in marriage and leave at once for Santa Ana, California, where they expect to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stone entertained the Evening Card Club Thursday, a number of guests being present and a most pleasant time enjoyed. Mrs. Wentworth and Mrs. J.E. Weet-er Weet-er were the club prizewinners, and Mrs. Bardsley and Mrs. F. J. McLaughlin the guests. Last Sunday evening at the city hall the Glenwood Cemetery Association held its annual meeting. All lodges owning plats in cemetery were represented. It was decided to tax each lodge $17.50 per plat for their care and upkeep for the ensuing year.
