There will be a regular meeting meet-ing of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at the Memorial Building on Main Street at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18. Bob Dean, president, stresses that all are welcome to attend the meeting. 1 Park Float f Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith of Wendover have been in Park City visiting their daughter Betty (Mrs. Earne) Anderson, Woodside Avenue. Mrs. Smith was in attendance at the Ladies Luncheon May 1. It's interesting to note that since the ski resorts have closed for the season, visitors still come to Park City. In the past two weeks folks have signed sign-ed the Visitor Register from Alaska, Michigan, Nevada, California, Louisiana.North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio and Colorado! There certainly is an attraction about Park City! We're so sorry about the accident ac-cident that Louise McConaughy had a couple of weeks ago she burned her foot very badly with 'live steam and there is nothing much more painful; Park City wishes her a speedy recovery. If you wondered what went wrong with your phone last Monday Mon-day afternoon about 1:30 you were not the only one! Every phone in Park City was out of service because of a cable cut unintentionally by digging at the Treasure Mountain Resort Company! This cable was what they call a "400 pairs" one-that one-that means 800 wires! Park City was lucky phone service was restored in a matter of about J30 minutes but Alta, Brighton, Summit Park and Snyderville didn't fare quite as well. They didn't get their phone service back until about 7 p.m.! It's so nice to have Eva Naglich back in town and back at work! Your reporter heard a plaintive plain-tive request from one of Park City's long-time residents the other day, "Why, oh, -why, doesn't Park City have a full-time full-time doctor and a hospital????" Gary and Helen Knudsen, owners of The Latch on Park Avenue, have recently returned from a two-week vacation in Mexico. They drove down as far as Guadalajara with stops at Guaynas, Matezelan and San Bias. It was their first trip to Mexico and Helen says she most enjoyed the colorful markets. "Also just talking to the natives was interesting" sITe said. "But, oh, how I appreciate Park City!" Their three little girls, Amy, Susan and Kimberly, stayed in Park City with a friend. Betty Workman, a former Parkite, is back in Park City for the summer. She has her three young children with her, Cory, Monty and Tami. Betty has been living in Mesa, Arizona,, for the past couple of years. One daughter, Linda, is married to Kenneth Buck and they are in North Dakota; another daughter, Marcia, is married and lives in Salt Lake City; and son, Mike Ware, and his wife, Gail, live here in Park City. It was a most unpleasant surprise to hear that John Frkovich had to be hospitalized last week. His son, Jerry, recently re-cently of Park City, was called home from Las Vegas.
