| Show COUNTY SCHOOLS WILL OPEN FOR ENSUING YEAR ON SEPTEMBER ath county superintendent wilson Is sending out letters to tho trustees of all the school districts in the county informing and warning them on certain things pertaining to school interests school opens sept ath according to the calendar adopted by trustees some weeks ago before opening of school the state board will send an officer to each district to look carefully over the school conditions so buildings grounds and outbuildings buildings Out should be put in order because of the great amount ot contagious last year it Is the purpose of the health authorities to see that every room Is thoroughly inspected and made suitable for the children county superintendent wilson in his letters to the trustees deals a body blow to agents for school charts on this subject be says 1 I am informed that school furniture men are canvassing the county for school charts I 1 hope the trustees will not invest any district money in this manner they may be all right in their place but until we have a good library in every district please dont spend money tor charts thousands of dollars have been expended for charts in this county and 95 per cent of them are useless today two years ago agents passed through the county selling charts in some cases they were given notes or warrants by the trustees before the goods were delivered the notes were sold to ogden banks and the goods were not received for six months or a year later and then only attar much trouble dont sign a promissory note or give a school warrant until the goods are delivered it is the only sate way of doing business it is expected that the returns will be received tomorrow from the mem ices of the examining board on the results of the last teachers examination tae certificates will be issued saturday to those who secured the required grades |
