Show GIRL SENT TO PROVO ASYLUM A t'nnlty commission., consisting of Drs. Joyce and Osgood, and presided over by Judge Howell, Immediately after noon today, met for the purpose pur-pose of exatifjiiiug Miss Mario Armstrong Arm-strong regarding her mental condition, condi-tion, and after making a thorough Investigation, In-vestigation, committed her to the state mental hospital. The hour was ns late when the order or-der of commitment was made that Sheriff Wilson concluded he would not take the g.'rl to the hospital until tomorrow -morning, at which time Ccorgo Stanford also will be taken to the stute institution. Miss Armstrong is the- young lady who, a few days ;ugor attempted to kin her companions at the reform school w.th a butcher knife and a hat pin. She had to be subdued by main strength, and since that time she has been kept in the "strong room" of the Industrial school. She utlempted In do violence to other persons at other times, and the conclusion con-clusion (J the commission was that she ;3 afflirted with homicidal mania Ir. Cowans, superintendent of the Industrial school, states that the girl has no parents and that sue has grown to the Inchest degree of Incorrigibility, Incor-rigibility, having frequent attacks ,, Insanity that lead her to attempt to commit murder. She is 1 n vears of nRo and Is rather a good looking girl. She came from Salt Lake. |
