Show CHURCH IS TO HAVE RALLY Suuday and Monday will be red letter let-ter days lor the members of the First Presbjterlan church. Inasmuch as those days will he the rallying days for a forward movement of church enthusiasm. Rev. Ernest F. Hall, western field secretary of the Presbyterian Presby-terian church, will come to Ogden from San Francisco in order to be present aud speak at thete meetings Rev. Hall Is one of the leading young men of the Presbyterian church. He was for four years connected con-nected with the Fifth avenue Presbyterian Presby-terian church, New York City, and then for five years was in charge of an Important mission station in Korea, Kor-ea, which position he gave up to take up his piesent one as field secretary of all the western states. Sunday morning Mr. Hull will spak at the 11 o'clock service upon "The Church and the World." Sunday evening, at 7-3, Mr. Hall will give a stereoptlcon lecture upon "Korea, the-Hermit the-Hermit Nation." In this he will, by pictures taken By hi nself in his own Ikld, show the needs and results of mission work in Its medicinal educational educa-tional and evangelistic aspects. Monduy evening at 7 o'clock there will be an elaborate banquet given in the church for the members and attendants Besides other toasts. Mr. Hall will t)tak upon "America aud the Fur East." This will not in any euse be a money making or a money raising rais-ing gathering, hut one of fellowship, music and good cheer, and a meeting for enthusiastic foreloolilngs nnd icrateful retrospection An excellent live-course banquet will be served. Plates tor this banquet must be reserved re-served at once. The large upper room of the church will be converted into a banquet room and all ihat music and attractive and dainty furnishings can do will be done to make the evening a memorable memor-able one. |
