The state board of railroad commissioners todav handed down Its decision in the ca?e I of Thomas Nelson and the Beaver-, i head Ranch company against the Oregon Ore-gon Short Line Railway company, j which was Instituted to compel the ; carrier to establish an agency and j provide station facilities at Bond, six miles north of Dillon. I The company contended that the fa-: fa-: cilltiea required would cost $11,067, but tho commission says such exten-i exten-i sive plans are not necessary, and tho railroad Is ordered to prolde, not lat-i lat-i er than Feb 1 next, suitable stock yards, station buildings and appurten-j appurten-j ances, to place cn agent In charge thereof for the proper conduct of freight and passenger business, and that at least one passenger train dally In each direction shall stop at tho i station. I If after a year they can show by verified figures that the volume of business transacted does not warrant the continuance of tho station, tho ! commission will authorize its closure. i |
